FAQs

Yes, we perform inspections at every stage of fabrication and assembly. We primarily check for issues such as incorrect component placement, missing parts, broken traces, and short circuits. These inspections help identify any fabrication problems early, allowing us to correct and prevent any issues immediately. Both manual and automated inspections are utilized as necessary.

For final inspections, we use a sampling size based on AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) to ensure that we ship only good parts. This sampling plan, which depends on the lot size, allows us to determine the appropriate sample size for reliability. We adhere to standards like IPC-A-600 and IPC-A-610, or any customer-specific requirements.

Mixed technology assembly involves using both surface mount (SMT) and through-hole technology (THT) components on the same board. While some customers only use SMT components, others may require both SMT and THT components on a single board. We specialize in handling both types of components, either individually or together in a mixed technology assembly.

After fabricating the board, we apply a protective layer called the solder mask to safeguard the copper traces. This tough coating shields the traces from damage. The only exposed areas are the copper pads, where solder paste will be applied for component reflow soldering. A surface finish is essential to prevent oxidation of these exposed copper pads until they are soldered.

Yes, we can. For boards that use mixed technology components, we employ both wave and reflow soldering. First, we mount the SMT components on the underside of the board and secure them with glue. Then, we use wave soldering to solder the THT components. After that, we mount SMT components on the top side and use the reflow process to complete the soldering.
